Quail

Bobwhite Quail, noted for its flavorful meat, has become a high-end alternative to chicken for many connoisseurs. The Bob White quail, which has white breast meat, is also called New World quail, and has an established history as an American heritage breed. It is the most popular game bird hunted in the southeastern United States.

Our Tanglewood Farms whole dressed quail weigh approximately 4-5 oz. Our semi-boneless quail weigh between 3-4 oz. The Bob White quail is considered one of the finest game birds in the world and its tender meat is sure to draw compliments as an appetizer or as a main dish.

Our Tanglewood Farms quail are raised on small family farms in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, and they are subject to stringent growing and processing standards. They are not given any hormones, growth stimulants, antibiotics, drugs, or other artificial products. They are fed only wholesome natural grains that have no animal by-products. Strict attention is paid to food safety and to operational sanitation during processing and packing procedures. Also, our aging process ensures a moist and tender meat so that none of the fine quail meat qualities are lost.
